With three different series of furnaces, there is an efficient, quiet, and comfortable option for everyone!
WHAT WE OFFER
We currently offer a slate of five different forced air natural gas/propane furnaces from Lennox's Signature, Elite, and Merit series. They are available in sizes ranging from 45,000BTU-135,000BTU, in both upflow and downflow varieties, and with various motor speed capabilities. Having our own in-house sheet metal shop also means any ductwork fabrication or modifications will be customized to fit your home!
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
mERIT SERIES
Lennox's Merit Series is their introductory product line. Don't let that or its lower price fool you! Even Lennox's entry level models raise the bar for what a furnace should be. You can be assured that a Merit furnace will offer quiet operation, as well as consistent and comfortable airflow. Like all of Lennox's products, these units meet their high standard of reliability, design, and quality. They can be paired with the Merit M30 Wifi thermostat for control at your fingertips. Available in single (ML196E) and two stage (ML296V) models.

ELITE SERIES
Lennox's Elite Series is their middle tier line of furnaces. These Elite furnaces offer a combination of performance, consistency, and efficiency. Built with sound absorbing materials, these furnaces are extremely quiet. Similar to the Signature series, the Elite series is also communicating/smart and iComfort enabled. With a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger, you can trust this furnace will give you peace of mind this winter! Available in single (EL196E) and two stage (EL297V) models.

SIGNATURE SERIES
Lennox's Dave Lennox Signature Series SLP99V furnace is the very best on the market, with supreme efficiency at 99%. Combined with innovative design and advanced technologies, this furnace is whisper quiet. It has a modulating variable speed and capacity motor that will heat your home with precision at lower speeds, saving you in utility costs. The SLP99V furnace is also communicating/smart, meaning your airflow can be tailored specifically to your home and your needs.

Single Stage means that as soon as the thermostat senses the temperature is starting to drop in the home, the furnace will kick on at full power/speed to meet your preset home comfort needs.

Two Stage operates at two different speeds. The majority of the time, the furnace will operate at a lower/mid speed to maintain the heat in your home. If the weather is extremely cold and blistery out, the furnace will kick into second stage and operate at full speed to keep up. This means the majority of the time, your furnace is operating at that lower speed, saving you money in gas and electricity. It also means it is very quiet.

Variable Speed motors operate at any speed necessary (not just one or two stages), offering balanced and comfortable air that is consistently maintained. The majority of the time, the furnace will operate at a lower speed, saving you the most money in utility costs. When paired with an air conditioner, variable speed furnaces can also better help with dehumidification.

Given the colder climate in this area, we always recommend the two stage or variable speed furnaces. With the Merit ML296V furnace, this style is available at an entry level price! That being said, our single stage furnaces are still very efficient as well and will keep up just fine even on the coldest winter nights.
EFFICIENCY
As of 2019, Canada has mandated that non-condensing gas furnaces under 400,000BTU must have a minimum AFUE efficiency rating of 95% (some exceptions apply). What does this AFUE rating mean exactly? Using the 95% efficiency minimum as an example, this rating indicates that of the fuel used/heat produced by the furnace, 95% of it is actually going into heating the home, while 5% is lost in exhaust. Lennox has always been a leader in efficiency and has gone above this minimum, offering 96% efficient varieties (Elite & Merit) and up to 99% efficient with their Signature series SLP99V furnace!
COMMUNICATING
Both our Signature and Elite series are communicating furnaces. Communicating or smart means that the furnace (and other compatible HVAC equipment) can more specifically communicate with a suitable thermostat, versus just turning on and off. Airflow options, such as fan speed or timing can be specifically tailored.
For example, in the summertime, you may set the thermostat to run your fan to distribute the air in your home - moving the naturally cooler air from the basement to upstairs. Communicating also means that if there is ever an issue with your furnace, an error code will be displayed on your thermostat telling you exactly what is wrong. It can even remind you to change your air filter! Pair your communicating furnace with a zoning/damper system and the possibilities are endless. Compatible iComfort Wifi thermostats can even help you access these features directly through your phone. With proper planning, you can program your perfect air!
